Refurbished Copiers

Find the right refurbished copier

When there’s no room in your budget to purchase or lease a new copier, consider getting a refurbished copier. A refurbished copier will allow you to lower your office equipment costs without sacrificing quality and service. A properly refurbished copier can provide excellent performance, comparable to a new one, and not only will a refurbished copier be dependable, it will also be guaranteed.

Buying a refurbished copier is not only a smarter choice; it’s also a green choice. When you buy a refurbished copier, this means there will be one less copier in your local landfill.

Find the Right Refurbished Copier

Even though you’re in the market to buy a refurbished copier, this doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to find everything you’re looking for. Make sure that the refurbished photocopiers you’re looking at have all the features and accessories you need and that they can handle your copy volume demands.

Many refurbished copiers come from sales demo models, repossessions or early lease returns. You can choose from a selection of popular photocopier brands, including refurbished Sharp copiers, refurbished Canon copiers or refurbished Xerox XC copiers, at costs of up to 85 percent less than new copiers.

Ask the refurbished copier vendor for a service record so that you can determine whether a copier has had repeated service issues. You can also ask the vendor which parts were replaced in the refurbishing process. A properly refurbished copier will have all of its worn out parts replaced and it will get a new drum, fuser rollers, feed tires and developers. A refurbished copier will also get cleaned on the inside and outside and will have all of its features and functionality tested.

You’ll want to know the number of copies previously made on a refurbished copier and you can verify this number by checking the built-in counter.

When you find the right refurbished copier for you, make sure that the machine comes with a warranty (no less than 60 days) and protect your investment with a good maintenance service agreement. Service calls and replacing parts can become very expensive once the warranty expires.
